About me

I was born in Izmir in 1975. I am a proud Karşıyaka local—35.5 at heart! I completed my primary, secondary, and high school education, university studies, and plastic surgery residency in Izmir. I graduated from Bornova Anatolian High School (BAL), where I studied for seven years under highly respected Turkish and German teachers. I am truly proud to be a BAL graduate :) I speak English and German fluently.

I studied at the Denizli Faculty of Medicine of Dokuz Eylül University and graduated with honors.

My journey in plastic surgery began in 2001. I gained hands-on experience in thousands of surgical cases alongside highly respected mentors. In 2007, I became the first specialist trained by the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Celal Bayar University (CBÜ), receiving my specialist diploma with full marks from a distinguished jury of professors.

Until 2014, I established and independently ran a plastic surgery clinic at Izmir Buca SSK Hospital (Buca Seyfi Demirsoy State Hospital), where I performed thousands of successful operations. I then decided to pursue an academic career. I joined the faculty of Izmir University Medical Park Hospital as an Assistant Professor. Later, following an invitation from Bahçeşehir University, I continued my career as an Assistant Professor at Istanbul Göztepe Medical Park Oncology Hospital under the same conditions.

I also had the opportunity to work in several clinics in Germany and Austria, which made valuable contributions to my professional career.

I began my private practice career and work in international health tourism at my clinic in Nişantaşı, Istanbul. For family reasons, I relocated the clinic to Alsancak, Izmir, where I continue to care for both international and local patients together with an excellent team.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, water sports (stand-up paddleboarding/SUP), mountain biking (MTB), windsurfing, tennis, and rally sports.

My love of nature and animals has brought a special richness to my life, and I have had the opportunity to help more stray animals than I can count.

I am currently a proud cat mom to three cats :)

Throughout my career, I have attended countless congresses, seminars, and symposiums and have been invited to speak about my work at international conferences around the world. I closely follow innovations and developments in aesthetic surgery.

My specialist thesis focused on skin cancer. I have performed thousands of skin cancer and reconstructive surgeries in this field, and my publications on skin cancer surgery have appeared in prestigious journals.

(Thesis title: Prognosis of Incompletely Excised Basal Cell Carcinomas and Investigation of Factors Affecting Prognosis — a series of 5,346 cases.)

I continue to expand the data and case series from my thesis through the skin cancer operations I perform as a specialist. At the same time, I pursue scientific research on lipedema and post-bariatric surgery (combined procedures to address excess and sagging skin following sleeve gastrectomy).

I have extensive training and experience in laser systems and have attended numerous courses and professional meetings in this field. In particular, I successfully use state-of-the-art laser systems in aesthetic surgery, both by integrating them into surgical procedures and by applying them in medical aesthetic treatments.

I continue my career in plastic surgery at my private practice. My primary interest is body contouring surgery, especially complex or combined procedures such as post-bariatric surgery (combined procedures after sleeve gastrectomy), lipedema surgery, and mommy makeovers. I believe that the patients who have traveled from every continent, placed their trust in me, and undergone surgery with me have become part of one big family. My clinic holds an International Health Tourism Authorization Certificate issued by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health. Together with my team, I am ready to provide patients from around the world with personalized, carefully planned surgical care using advanced technology in fully equipped, accredited hospitals.
